Reliance retail testing direct selling through housewives
Posted On: 17-08-2011 00:00:00 11

The subsidiary of Reliance Retail, Reliance Home Products has launched a pilot project that will have housewives selling for a commission, Reliance’ private brands Sudz detergent, Amara soaps and Healthy Life food items.

Under this initiative called ‘Home Club’, member housewives sell the product directly to the consumer at 30% discount , and will earn 10% commission on the sale.

As per media reports, Reliance hopes to achieve twin objectives with this module. Firstly, it will be able to dispense with stock pile of products at wholesale prices, and secondly, a new sales channel would be created.
